DRYiCE iAutomate provides Intelligent Runbook Automation capabilities for automating the IT Operations resolution lifecycle, specifically for events, incidents, service request tasks, and change request tasks. It leverages Machine Learning and Natural Language Process capabilities for understanding the most common / repetitive issues, recommends the most relevant solutions and even resolves them autonomously.
Release 6.1 focuses on various new features, enhancements, and performance improvements for some of the core services.
Following are the newly launched features and functionalities as part of DRYiCE iAutomate v6.1:
- Continuous performance evaluation of the deployed recommendation model based on ticket data, on monthly basis
- A Mechanism to track the model performance for different published versions, month on month.
- Ability to drill-through to see the detailed report with ticket categorizations, recommended runbooks and success rates.
- Support for proactive mail-based notifications hung / stuck jobs, enabling faster troubleshooting and resolution
- New job “HangJobReporting” has been introduced to continuously monitor and notify about any hung / stuck jobs
- Support for creation of custom web API using Python / PowerShell for enabling complex third-party system integrations
- Flexibility to create Python / PowerShell scripts either manually or via JSON format
- View and manage the existing script
- New Help screen to provide internal component details (version-wise) and supporting product documentation

- Support for pushing detailed work notes while releasing the tickets, for updates; New User defined function introduced in Manage Rules screen for Release Configuration
- Option to configure new rules based on CI type from CMDB
- Flexibility to configure organization-wise Google Search APIs for Script Analysis, for multi-tenant scenarios
API Enhancements
- Support for REST API PATCH verb for fetching / releasing tickets from / to third party systems
New Runbooks
- Addition of new runbooks in the areas of GCP, Azure, AWS, VMware, Security, Storage (Unity and Pure Storage), Database, Load Balancer (F5), Active Directory and others
- Addition of 150+ Bigfix fixlets in the areas of Active Directory, Windows / Linux Server Management, Database Management, Disk Management, Backup and others
- Fixed POSIX library usage issue for downloading document based on depth level
- Provided a fix to allow runbooks to pass blank value as parameter value to RBA
- Provided a fix preventing multiple execution of runbook on a ticket
