MyXalytics is a Unified Reporting & Dashboarding solution which helps organisations by providing an unparalleled visibility into performance of IT systems and processes. It helps provide people and organisations with the clarity they need to drive continuous operational improvements.
HCL MyXalytics offers intuitive visualisations of data from multiple sources on a unified & role based/custom dashboard. Its capabilities include robust reporting of ITSM metrics, governance and control, root cause analysis for all incidents, automated risk management approval workflow and real-time tracking of risks and remediation plans, infused AI-driven predictive analytics to proactively flag potential breaches and crisis automated business reporting, zero-touch automation, reduced SLA violations & improved IT environment predictability.
Release 6.4 focuses on various new features, integration adapters and run book repository enhancements.
- New Features
- Drill through to be enabled in Score and trend and Tile group by Comparison template along with Sorting:
- Score and trend: This template refers to a type of report or visualisation that shows both scores and trends. This enables users to view both the current performance (the score) and how this performance has changed over time (the trend), hence offering the users an opportunity to explore the underlying impact behind the displayed metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Tiled group by comparison: This refers to a method of organising and displaying data where individual records are grouped based on their comparison scores. These groups are then displayed in a tiled format, which means that each group is represented as a separate tile or card in the user interface, offering an efficient monitoring capability to the user.
- Enable the dashboard linkage feature on multi source template: This configurable feature enables users to seamlessly navigate within their data by linking reports directly to relevant dashboards to obtain deeper insights. With v6.4 release, this feature’s applicability is limited to dimension only values.
- Cross billing account integration for AWS: With this feature, customer’s AWS account will be integrated with HCL AWS account (as an assumed role) enabling quick onboarding along with enhanced governance, with the integration account being able to access the billing data at master account level.
- Lambda reporting: Gain a unified view of Lambda resources’ performance and visibility of the public cloud infrastructure with MyXalytics’ Lamba reporting feature.
- New UI for Geo health view, drill through & drill down features, CI, Search, Load more for raw data:
- It showcases near to the real time health status respective to the CI based on hierarchy
- With the features of search on each level, load more on Alerts/Raw data, Filter, Insight and Conditional Formatting.
- Implement a new UI for Geo health view with dynamic drill-through (up to 5 levels) and drill-down features, CI, search functionality, load more on grids, and raw data display.
- In our rich repository of views, we have added a new Geo-health view with improved UI to monitor near to real time health status respective to the CI per hierarchy. This view also offers dynamic drill-through capabilities (up to 5 levels) along with drill-down capabilities, alerts, conditional formatting, search functionality, raw data display and much more.
- Incorporating N percentile into reports: This feature incorporates specific percentile measures as requested by our customers to include N percentiles in our live reports. These metrics are displayed besides current data points within the same report to offer a unified and accessible monitoring to our users.
- Cache populator service: MyXalytics introduces pre-populated cache content for designated dashboards, that can be configured by users to determine the datasets on which the caching would be actionable. This optimization improves data retrieval speed and reduces load time for the selected elements, offering an improved and more efficient experience to the users.
- AWS Kubernetes Namespace, Node and Pod inventory integration using SDK: MyXalytics is now leveraging the AWS SDK for a more reliable approach to synchronising AWS EKS cluster inventory. This update addresses previous limitations with token generation that hindered data syncing via the REST API. The AWS SDK provides a more stable and secure method for accessing EKS cluster data, ensuring consistent data synchronisation and enables MyXalytics to deliver a more reliable and efficient solution for managing the AWS EKS cluster inventory.
- Multi provider Kubernetes dashboard configuration: This feature allows users to monitor and manage Kubernetes clusters across various cloud providers seamlessly. Users are offered a comprehensive overview of their entire Kubernetes environment, encompassing clusters deployed on multi providers. The feature offers users’ the functionality to click on a specific cluster name to open a dedicated dashboard showcasing detailed information about that cluster. The drill down capabilities enabled by clicking on individual pods names within the cluster details dashboard grants access to insightful data about each pod.
- Multi provider Kubernetes cost optimization dashboard configuration:
- Configured the Kubernetes cost optimization dashboard for multi providers.
- Configured the Kubernetes cost optimization driver dashboard for multi providers.
- This feature allows users to gain a comprehensive understanding of their Kubernetes costs across all supported cloud providers, enabling informed optimization strategies. It also helps them to identify the key cost drivers within the multi-cloud Kubernetes environment.
- AWS Lambda Dashboard configuration: This new feature enables users to gain a centralised view and monitor the performance of AWS Lambda functions, providing key metrics and insights in a single, user-friendly interface.
- Azure MCA billing account jobs configuration: MyXalytics streamlines Azure billing data access for MCA with a new configuration for Azure Blob Jobs and MCA Billing Credentials. This feature ensures a more efficient and secure process for retrieving and processing users’ Azure billing data within MyXalytics.
- Drill through to be enabled in Score and trend and Tile group by Comparison template along with Sorting:
- Exception/exclusion, email changes, reset and filter: This update introduces granular exception management, allowing users to address unique circumstances for individual tickets within their scorecards. To bolster transparency and accountability, users can now attach relevant evidence to support exceptions. Additionally, a streamlined reset function simplifies managing exceptions across their scorecard, while automated email notifications empower efficient collaboration on exception reviews with designated approvers. Overall, these enhancements empower users to leverage MyXalytics Metric Scorecards for a more nuanced and adaptable approach to performance evaluation.
- Fine tune report builder call backs to get filter, template properties and other metadata: MyXalytics report builder is receiving a performance enhancement with fine-tuned call backs that optimize data selection. This update streamlines the process of choosing data sources, datasets, dimensions, and measures. Additionally, a new auto-fill feature automatically populates selections from users’ current template when switching to a different one, saving them time and effort. These enhancements are currently available for E-bar charts, grids, and charts.
- Addition of a data type in the list of universe object| BMS: MyXalytics universe configuration is gaining increased flexibility with the addition of a new data type: decimal (18, 1). This update ensures users’ configurations accurately represent a wider range of data types.
- Multiple measures in drilldown report – Summarization: MyXalytics drilldown reports are getting a significant improvement in flexibility with support for multiple measures and enhanced summarization options. Users can now select and aggregate data using multiple dimensions and measures within their drilldown reports. Additionally, an optional summarization function allows them to enable or disable summarization for various chart types, such as Grid, E-bar, Pie, Comp Tile, Gauge, Tile, Score and Trend, Heatmap, and Chart templates. This update empowers users to create more comprehensive and informative drilldown reports that provide deeper insights into data.
- Excel upload with GDPR: MyXalytics excel upload receives a comprehensive update that streamlines data import, strengthens GDPR compliance, and enhances usability.
- Improved Efficiency: Admins can leverage a smoother data import process for analysis, boosting operational efficiency.
- Enhanced GDPR Compliance: A new GDPR consent feature ensures adherence to data privacy regulations by detecting sensitive information and prompting user consent. This includes recording timestamps, user identities, and specific columns accessed.
- Streamlined Workflows: Effortlessly navigate from uploaded data to report creation with a new button that redirects tables to the report builder and now, the universal configuration page.
- Simplified Data Management: A dynamic primary key dropdown replaces checkboxes for a more intuitive user experience, particularly when updating existing data.
- Improved Data Organization: A new "Time Series" table type alongside existing options allows for better data categorization during upload.
- Enhanced Naming Conventions: Tables uploaded will now utilise a standardised naming convention with an "UPD_EngagementID" prefix and GUID postfix, ensuring improved data integrity and uniqueness.
- Export functionality of multi-source template on MyXalytics: Multi-Source templates are gaining enhanced export functionality. Users can now download these reports in various formats, including excel, PPT, and PDF. Additionally, when scheduling a multi-source report, all measure values will be populated within the excel file, ensuring users receive complete data upon export. These improvements enable users to easily share and distribute insights generated from their multi-source reports.
- Drilldown window to use the last scroll position on home page: Drilldown windows now maintain the last report viewed position. When users close a drilldown report, they’ll return to the page they were viewing previously, rather than automatically jumping to the report they just drilled down from. This enhances navigation and streamlines workflow within MyXalytics.
- Performance tables with ability to store and aggregate/segregated multiple metrics/measure: MyXalytics performance tables are enhanced with the ability to store and process multiple metrics and measures. This update allows for:
- Data Segregation: Efficiently isolate and analyse "hot data" for deeper insights into critical performance indicators.
- Measure Aggregation: Effortlessly combine and aggregate multiple measures within your performance tables, providing a more comprehensive view of your data.
- Drilldown enablement on grand total: MyXalytics grids and charts are gaining enhanced drill down capabilities with support for grand totals. This update allows you to drill down from grand totals on both rows and columns, providing deeper insights into your data
- Single Measure: When only one measure is selected, grand totals will always be displayed on both axes, offering a clear summary of your entire dataset.
- Multi-measure: The behaviour of grand totals with multiple measures will depend on your pivot selection and measure column position, ensuring flexibility for various data presentations.
- Trend report to allow sorting on pivoted: Trend reports are gaining increased user control with the ability to sort pivoted data. Users can now display their report data pivoted on specific headers and then sort the information within each category (header value) in either ascending or descending order. This enhanced functionality empowers users to analyse trend data from different perspectives and identify key trends more effectively.
- Budget: Users can now define and manage budgets with greater granularity by incorporating dimensions such as Application Type, Region, and Cloud Provider and many more. This enhanced functionality allows users to create more precise and informative budgets that better reflect the specific cost structures of their applications and cloud environments.
- Budget and Budget Forecasted Alerts: Building on the introduction of new dimensions introduced on the Budget Page, both Budget Alerts and Budget Forecasted Alerts now work seamlessly with these new dimensions. This allows users to receive timely notifications and stay informed about potential budget overruns or deviations from forecasts. This enhancement enables users with more granular control and proactive insights into cloud spending.
- Exclusion List and Advance filter option in Cost Optimization: Cost Optimization is gaining refined control with the introduction of an Exclusion List and Advanced Filter options. These enhancements provide greater precision and flexibility within the cost optimization process, enabling users to target optimization efforts more effectively.
- Minimum Threshold text option in cost optimization deviation: Cost optimization introduces a new Minimum Threshold option, enabling users to set a minimum threshold value of deviation. This provides improved flexibility in managing cloud costs by focusing on deviations that exceed the threshold.
- GCP VM (Virtual Machines), Disk, Disk type and Machine type integration: MyXalytics simplifies GCP (VM) management with enhanced integration for VMs, disks, disk types, and machine types. MyXalytics now gathers comprehensive data on GCP VMs, disks, disk types, and machine types which is then synchronised into a designated destination table for efficient analysis. A new GCP_Region table has been implemented to store distinct regional information for VMs and disks across projects. This table allows MyXalytics to optimise data retrieval by iterating only over required regions, significantly enhancing job performance.
- Optimise the dependent stored procedure (SP) of DME jobs. Optimised queries within the SPs significantly reduce execution times for FinOps jobs, leading to faster data processing and analysis.
- DME service build framework upgradation to .NET core.
- Update all the plain connection string with valutId into the DataSource details table.
- In SQL connection string update MultipleActiveResultSets =False.
- Configured the multi cloud inventory dashboard for Kubernetes: This enhancement provides a centralised view of users’ Kubernetes deployments across all supported cloud providers and offers a consolidated view of users’ Kubernetes inventory within the dashboard. This includes a breakdown of Kubernetes resources (potentially including cluster, node, and pod counts) for each supported cloud provider.
- Auto fill dropdown in report builder when move E-bar chart to grid to MS chart with cache Report builder receives a significant usability improvement with the enhancement of an auto-fill feature for three templates (E-bar chart and Grid and MS chart). This feature streamlines workflow by automatically populating selections when switching from one view to another.
